Get Your Office Ready for the Holidays

The holidays are finally here again which means the parties, family gatherings and holiday shopping has begun. December is not only a busy time for our personal lives, it’s also a big time of year for businesses. Many organization’s are trying to meet end of the year goals and deadlines. With all of this going on, it’s easy to get stressed out and forget to have some holiday fun. Use these tips to bring the holiday spirit into the office.

Holiday Party or Secret Santa

Of course the most obvious way to have some holiday fun with the office is to have an office party. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, a potluck dinner is a simple way to get everyone together. Have everyone bring a dish to pass around and share. Or if your interested in going bigger,  assign a few people the duties of finding the venue, food and decorations. A holiday party is a great way to get to know our co-workers and celebrate the holidays.

It can be expensive and sometimes difficult to purchase gifts for everyone in the office. Consider a Secret Santa and purchase a gift for one person. It allows everyone in the office to receive a gift without everyone having to go over their holiday budget.

Give Back to the Community

This is the season of giving and bringing joy to others. Look into local charities and see if you could hold an office food or toy drive. Giving back is a beautiful way to celebrate the season and bring joy to your community.

Simple Decorations

If you are short on time or not everyone is interested in participating in a holiday function, just adding a few decorations in the office will help get your coworkers into the holiday spirit. Wreaths, tinsel or maybe even a small Christmas tree will bring a festive feel to the office. If you want to kick it up to a another level, have a cubicle decorating competition and award the winner a prize.

Bring Christmas to the office and boost office morale and productivity.
